Loft and Attic Insulation Wexford
Up to a quarter of all heat lost from a poorly insulated home escapes directly through the roof, which makes attic insulation one of the most straightforward and cost effective ways to make a property in Wexford warmer and more economical to heat.
A properly insulated loft keeps that warmth exactly where it should be, within your living space, and the reductions to your heating bills will typically recover the cost of the work many times over throughout the life of the insulation.
When we insulate a loft in Wexford we begin by assessing the space, clearing it where necessary and checking for any existing damp or ventilation concerns. We then lay a generous depth of mineral wool insulation between the ceiling joists, followed by a second layer across the top of them, to eliminate cold bridging and achieve the recommended depth. Where the loft space is intended for storage or use as a room, we fit rigid insulation boards to suit.
We take care throughout to maintain adequate ventilation at the eaves and to insulate the loft hatch along with any pipework or water tanks, so that the entire roof space performs as it ought to.
Alongside our attic insulation services, we also offer options for cavity block walling insulation in Wexford, cavity wall extraction and much more.
It is tidy, efficient work that tends to make an immediate and noticeable difference to the comfort of your home.
